SUMMER  I.D.E.A.S.

Learning and fun are year-long passions at University School of Milwaukee. Every summer, our campus stays alive with energy and excitement as young people from the Milwaukee area participate in our popular I.D.E.A.S program. I.D.E.A.S. (Investigate, Discover, and Explore Academics, Arts, and Sports) is staffed by members of the USM faculty and other qualified teachers from throughout the area and offers programs for prekindergarten through Grade 12. Students do not have to be enrolled at USM to participate.

Our summer programs feature many favorites - from Discovery Camp and Clubhouse Capers, ACT/SAT prep, foreign language immersion camps, and courtroom law to calligraphy, photography, rocketry, tennis, and cooking. Wonderful theatre workshops include shows-in-just-one-or-two-weeks and stage combat. Sports workshops and camps (to name just a few) feature basketball, skating, tennis, fishing, lacrosse, soccer and tournament kickball.

Students can develop their creative writing skills (or improve essay writing for the ACT); review basic facts, algebra, and geometry (or enjoy Honors Math for advanced students); build webpages, and program computer games with Scratch. If that's not enough, consider dance classes, Rock Music Camp, This Land is Yours: Tending Karen's Kitchen, Macrame: It's Knot Magic, Science: The "WOW" and the "Why," Homemade Hollywood (Film-Making on a Budget), and much more!
