USM teachers are our greatest asset.  Full of ideas and energy, they move beyond their chalkboards—marching students up and down the hall as Civil War troops or celebrating Charles Dickens with a Victorian Gala.  Their pioneering work in curriculum mapping enables different departments to integrate course content.  For example, language arts, history, and art are merged in an Egyptian journal project, and the Cold War in history and the space race in science are taught on the same day.

Our teachers spend many afternoons, evenings, and weekends coaching, leading school activities, and presenting at independent school conferences.  Perhaps most importantly, our teachers really know their students and families.  They work tirelessly in close partnership with parents to identify the questions, assignments, activities, and materials each student needs in order to learn best.

In addition, our teachers work in partnership with a dedicated and talented administrative staff. Professionals in finance, facilities management, fund raising, marketing, and other fields help ensure that every member of our community has the resources he or she needs to be happy, healthy, and productive each day.
