In Upper School, our comprehensive and challenging academic program is supported by innovative learning activities and state-of-the-art technology.  Together with our extensive advising system and  four-year College Guidance program, we offer a fully rounded, personalized secondary education for every one of our students, providing them with the learning and life experiences they need to become responsible and productive adults.  Our Common Trust helps our students face new challenges in an environment of support and mutual respect.

Small classes led by outstanding teachers have a powerful influence on Upper School students, shaping academic enthusiasm, developing intellect, broadening interests, and expanding friendships.  Many Upper School classes are seminar-style roundtable discussions that encourage everyone to participate in the analysis and synthesis of ideas and information.

A significant percentage of our Upper School students choose from a wide variety of challenging Advanced Placement courses.  In addition to their academic pursuits, all of our students are encouraged to take an active role in school government, athletic competitions, artistic performances, and community service.  US student life is enriched by many other opportunities, including assemblies where US students encounter current event debates, political speakers, artists, faculty speakers, and leaders of the Milwaukee community.  Both formal and informal leadership opportunities are woven into all aspects of daily school life.
