Cristina Costantini ’07 and Darren Foster directed and produced “Science Fair,” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January. “Science Fair” is Costantini’s first feature documentary and follows nine students and one mentor from around the world as they prepare their projects and team for the 2017 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) event in Los Angeles. USM has a strong legacy of student success in the national competition, with 22 award winners since 2003, including Costantini, who won an award at Intel ISEF in 2004 for her research and study of the impact of peer pressure and conformity.
