The varsity football game against Brookfield Academy might be the marquee homecoming event, but University School students enjoyed a week full of spirit-building activities leading up to it. The celebrations started on Saturday, Sept. 22 with the Junior Wildcat Jamboree, which featured fun, family-friendly activities like a dunk tank, Middle School athletics contests, and free popcorn and lemonade.
On Monday, Sept. 24 improv comedians from ComedySportz Milwaukee visited Middle School students to put on a fun show played as a sport and spread some laughs among students and teachers.
On Tuesday, Sept. 25, Upper School students visited our youngest friends in Preschool and Lower School to decorate sprit signs for the all-school pep rally and athletic events. In addition to supporting homecoming activities, the sign-making event was one of several events held throughout the year that bring Upper School, Preschool, and Lower School students together.
The all-school pep rally, held this afternoon, will be sure to spread school spirit throughout campus ahead of tonight’s varsity football game. In addition, the Alumni Association will unveil the Athletic Hall of Fame wall today at 4 p.m., which recognizes each Hall of Fame member and was made possible by support of the Our Common Bond campaign. In addition, families are invited to attend the Blue and Gold 3K Fun Run/Walk tomorrow, Sept. 29, from 9 to 10 a.m., Willie’s Fun Fest from 9 a.m. to noon, and Upper School athletic events including the Tessa Nowakowski ’10 varsity field hockey game starting at 10:30 a.m.
