USM Achieves a Record Number of Scholastic Art Winners

A University School of Milwaukee record-setting 27 students won a total of 48 state recognition awards in art from the Scholastic Art and Writing competition, including five Gold Keys and 13 Silver Keys. Student winners ranged from grades 7 through 12. The Gold Key recipients advance to the national competition in New York City this May.

All 27 students will be honored at a special closed ceremony at the Milwaukee Art Museum on Saturday, Feb. 8, and their work will be on display in the museum’s Schroeder Galleria from Feb. 1 through March 15.
