Programs for Children Ages 3-8

Summer I.D.E.A.S. offers a wide selection of age-appropriate specialty half-day or full-day camps and specialty week programs for children ages 3-8. Choose from a dynamic mix of child-centered, thematic experiences that encourage movement, imagination, and problem solving.

Extended Time Care is also available for families whose schedules require that their children (up to age 12) arrive at USM before the morning program begins and/or stay after 3:30 p.m.

How to Find the Right Options for Your Child

Click the link below that corresponds to your child’s age to see all program options for children in that age range. The information in this downloadable PDF program booklet is color-coded. All information in yellow in the booklet refers to our half-day or full-day camp options. Options in colors other than yellow are part of our specialty weeks.

Half-day and Full-day Camps:

• are for students ages 3-8
• feature investigations and activities that focus on different themes
• include wrap-around care options for families with busy schedules (learn more about extended time care)
• are 1-week long camps which run from June 18-July 27; sign up for just 1 week or as many as you like, up to all 6 weeks

Specialty Week Programs:

• are for students age 4-8
• feature topics ranging from the arts to animals, soccer to science, the outdoors to puppets and many topics in between.
• are typically 45 minutes to 1 hour-plus programs for 1 week
• are offered the weeks of June 13-15, July 30-August 3, August 6-10, and August 13-17

Registration is by mail or in-person. A registration form is included in each of the age-specific program packet links below. More details may be found on our Registration page and our General Information pageEarly registration discounts apply on or before May 10 for programs running 6/13 through 7/27, and on July 6 for programs starting after 7/27.

-Be an “Author”ity Camp (writing, reading, illustrating)
