Administrative Fees and Refund Policies
All student-elected cancellations will be assessed an $8 fee per workshop/camp or in the case of Discovery Camp and Clubhouse Capers, $8 per week. For all programs, except Upper School credit courses, if notice is received at least 14 calendar days before a program begins, the tuition paid will be refunded except in the event that the cancellation is for a class that has a waiting list. In this case, a refund will be issued only if a replacement registrant is found. If notice is received fewer than 14 calendar days before a program is scheduled to begin, a credit will be given toward additional programming for the student or a sibling during the current summer program; there will be no cash refund.
If USM cancels a program, the student will receive a full refund. Summer program refunds will be processed around the 15th of the month in July, August, and September.
Students changing workshops or weeks of participation in Discovery Camp or Clubhouse Capers will be charged a $5 change fee per adjustment plus any additional charges that apply to the replacement program selected.
There is no additional administrative fee for adding new programs. Those programs will be charged at the published rate.
Appropriate student behavior is expected. If a student’s behavior makes it difficult for others to learn and enjoy their experiences or for teachers to teach, the Director of Summer Programs reserves the right to discuss the situation with the student and parents, and if a remedy cannot be initiated, to require the student to withdraw from the program with a pro rata refund.
Extended Time Care
For families whose schedules require that their children (ages 3-12) arrive at USM before the morning program or stay at USM after 3:30, E.T.C. offers a well-supervised extension of the summer day with planned activities and a time to relax.
